Your training at PNT
The new training in nursing
Since January 1, 2020, there has been a new professional title for nursing professions.
The federal government has newly regulated and renamed the 3-year training for nursing professions to: Registered Nurse. This training is uniform and has a generalist orientation.
The three previous job profiles Registered Nurse, Registered Pediatric Nurse, and Geriatric Nurse were abolished and merged into a universal professional profile.
In the new generalist training, professional focal points from all former nursing areas are merged.
As a trained nursing professional, you will be flexibly deployable in all care areas in the future.
The most important thing, in short
- New professional title: Registered Nurse.
- Training duration: minimum 3 years full-time (part-time possible)
- Theoretical training is the same for everyone.
- Practical training varies depending on the provider (outpatient care service, hospital, nursing home).
