Together in Palliative Care
In the event of an incurable illness, patients' quality of life in the final stages of life is at stake. With qualified professional and human support, it is possible to manage medical and nursing care in such a way that living at home is possible, even with severe diseases.
In collaboration with multidisciplinary teams (SAPV physicians, general practitioners and specialists, chaplains, hospice services, etc.), we work with the goal of maintaining, promoting, and improving the quality of life and self-determination of terminally ill people with progressive diseases, in order to enable them to live a life in dignity until death in their home environment.
We offer palliative care in Kiel and Schwerin, as well as the surrounding areas.
Scope of Services
As a SAPV care service, we work with the goal of maintaining, promoting, and improving the quality of life and self-determination of severely ill individuals with progressive diseases. In doing so, we aim to enable them to live a dignified life at home until death. This includes:
- comprehensive support through cooperation in multidisciplinary teams of trained SAPV doctors, hospices, psychotherapists, chaplains, as well as pharmacies, medical supply stores, and many others
- Relief of accompanying symptoms such as shortness of breath, pain, and nausea
- preventive crisis management
- Development of a personalized treatment plan
- Coordination of support services
- 24-hour on-call duty for our SAPV nursing staff
- Advice, guidance, and support for those affected and their relatives, including assistance in coping with issues of dying and death.
